Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Events

Since 2005, the Institute has made it mandatory on its member to undertake CPD activities through which they gain units to be eligible for continuation of their membership with the Institute. Members are required to have a maximum of forty (40) units each year.

The Institute organises several activities such as seminars, technical sessions etc. from which members who participate in them can obtain their units. The Technical services are usually procured from resource persons locally and from other countries. This is regulated by the Technical and Educational & Training Committees.

Each year, the theme is pronounced at the Institute’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is adopted as the Institute’s theme for the year and all activities are geared towards promoting and accomplishing the objectives of the theme.

Social Activities

The Institute organises various social activities such as the annual dinner and certification ceremony, the beach party, and official lunches and annual party for its secretariat.
